Invitation to the first Young Leadership Council Event

Italian Wine Merchants in New York City provided a beautiful setting for the Young Leadership Council’s inaugural “hatching” event on September 20, 2005. More than 100 people attended, raising nearly $100,000. Artist Sloane Tanen’s dioramas of chickens in hilarious, improbable settings were auctioned to benefit Gilda’s Club Worldwide. Guests included Young Leadership Council members, Angelica Berrie, Tony Danza, and Ereka Vetrini from “The Apprentice.” On his show the next day, Danza observed, “I attended an event in support of Gilda’s Club, named for Gilda Radner, which is for people with cancer and their families and friends. Gilda’s Club is a tremendous place. What passion there was that night.”
